The Court: Although none appears for the petitioner, the respondent is represented through counsel. Learned counsel for the respondent submits that in principle, the respondent does not have any objection to the prayers in the present application.

It transpires from the materials on record and the submissions of learned counsel that in view of the volume of the materials before the Arbitrator as well as the nature of the matter, the prayer for extension of mandate of the learned Arbitrator is justified. Since the arbitral proceeding is at an advanced stage, an extension of three months would suffice. Accordingly, AP-COM 621 of 2024 is allowed, thereby extending the mandate of the learned Arbitrator for three months from this date.
