1. Learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that on the selfsame cause of action the petitioner has already filed another writ petition being WPO No.287 of 2026 which has been taken up for consideration by the Court and an order has been passed on 22nd June, 2026.

2. It has been submitted that the petitioner failed to understand the consequences of filing two writ petitions on the self-same cause of action. There has been a communication gap between the petitioner and the learned advocate.

3. Prayer has been made to permit the petitioner to withdraw the instant writ petition.

4. Written communication from the petitioner to the learned advocate has been filed in Court.

5. The Court does not appreciate the conduct of the petitioner in filing two separate writ petitions on the self-same cause of action. There is an averment in the instant writ petition that the petitioner has not moved any other Court or forum on the self-same cause of action.

6. In the instant writ petition the petitioner prays for promotion from the non-executive cadre to executive cadre. He ought to have understood the consequence of filing two writ petitions on the self-same cause of action. He atleast should have disclosed the filing of the earlier writ petition to the learned advocate so that the present writ petition was not required to be filed.

7. On the prayer made by the learned advocate for the petitioner, the instant writ petition stands dismissed as 'not pressed'.

8. The petitioner is, however, cautioned to remain extremely careful while filing any applications/petitions before the judicial forum.

9. All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
