The Court : This writ petition has been filed alleging unauthorised construction at 48, Dr. Lalmohan Bhattacharya Road, Br.VI, Ward No,55, Kolkata Municipal Corporation.

The Corporation has filed a report before this Court today. From the report of the Corporation it appears that the demolition proceedings under Section 400(1) of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation Act, 1980 have already been initiated giving due notice to all the parties. The last date of hearing was fixed on December 5, 2024. In view of the steps taken by the Corporation, there is no need to keep the writ petition pending. Accordingly, I dispose of the writ petition giving direction upon the

Corporation to conclude the demolition proceedings in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.
