...for the respondent The Court: Affidavit-in-opposition is taken on record. Learned advocate for the respondent submits that due to the delay caused by the petitioner, the mandate terminated. The mandate of the learned Arbitrator terminated on June 14, 2024. The claimant seeks extension of the mandate. The proceeding is at the stage of cross-examination of the claimant. Considering the submissions and the progress made in the arbitration proceeding, this Court deems it fit to extend the mandate of the learned

Arbitrator by a further period of one year from the date of communication of this order to the learned Arbitrator.

Considering the pleadings in the affidavit-in-opposition, this Court directs that petitioner to cooperate with the learned Arbitrator and not delay the proceeding. The respondent would be at liberty to pray for cost if the petitioner prays for adjournment on untenable grounds before the learned Arbitrator. AP/112/2024 is, accordingly, disposed of.
