The petitioners have filed the present application for grant of Letters of Administration to the estate of the deceased, Prabhas Chandra Purkait alias Prabhas Purkait who died on 6th January, 2024 leaving behind his two daughters, namely, Sushmita Sengupta and Paramita Basu Ray who are the petitioners herein before this Court. The wife of the deceased was predeceased to the deceased who died on 14th September, 2023.

Counsel for the petitioners submit that the deceased died intestate and as such, the petitioners being the legal heirs of the deceased have filed the present application for grant of Letters of Administration to the estate of the deceased Prabhas Chandra Purkait.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioners. Perused the death certificate of the deceased and the death certificate of the wife of the deceased.

This Court finds that there is no impediment to grant Letters of Administration to the petitioners to the estate of the deceased subject to furnishing bond of Rs.5,00,000/- with one surety. PLA/216/2024 is disposed of.
