THE COURT:- The present appeal is filed by the 6th respondent in the writ petition (son of the deceased employee) against the order dated 24th March 2023 passed by the Learned Single Judge in WPO No.319 of

2023 granting entire terminal benefits to the nominee, the 7th respondent herein (mother of the deceased employee).

When the matter was taken up for hearing on 28th June 2023, both counsel appearing for appellant as well as counsel appearing for 7th respondent submitted that appellant and 7th respondent have settled the matter and the 7th respondent is ready to hand over a cheque for a sum of Rs.2,90,000/- in favour of the appellant.

Today, learned counsel appearing for 7th respondent handed over a cheque bearing no.587204 drawn on Punjab National Bank in favour of the appellant herein for a sum of Rs.2,90,000/- as full and final settlement towards the terminal benefits received by her from West Bengal Transport Corporation Limited, respondent nos.1 to 5 herein. The cheque handed over in open Court today by counsel appearing for 7th respondent is handed over to the appellant who appeared before this Court in person. Learned counsel appearing for appellant as well as 6th and 7th respondents further submitted that as per the information dated 07.02.2023 under RTI Act furnished by Chief Accounts Officer In-charge, West Bengal Transport Corporation Limited, another sum of Rs.6,995/- under the heading 'Other arrears' has to be paid by the respondent Corporation.

Counsel for the appellant is directed to give the bank account details to the 5th respondent. On receiving the details of bank accounts of

appellant as well as 7th respondent, the 5th respondent is directed to transfer a sum of Rs.3,500/- to the 7th respondent's bank account and Rs.3,495/- to the appellant's account by RTGS. With the above direction, the appeal is disposed of. (V.M. VELUMANI, J.) (RAI CHATTOPADHYAY, J.) s. kumar
