The Court: It is the grievance of the petitioner that for the purpose of general revaluation and assessment role in respect of premises at 2F, Abanindra Nath Thakur Sarani, Kolkata - 700017, the petitioner made an application before the Corporation. The Corporation, however, has proceeded to determine the annual valuation without giving a notice to the petitioner. In view of the stand taken by the Corporation before this Court, there is no need to keep this writ petition pending. Corporation submits that it will issue a fresh notice to the petitioners fixing the date of hearing and will only then proceed to determine the annual valuation. In that view of the matter, WPO No.619 of 2024 is disposed of by giving a direction upon the Corporation to issue a fresh notice upon the petitioners

under Section 184 read with Section 185 of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation Act, 1980 and determine the annual valuation of the relevant premises in accordance with law.

Let such exercise be concluded within a period of three months from the date of communication of this order.
