The Court : Affidavit of service filed by the petitioners is taken on record.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondents raises a preliminary issue with regard to the maintainability of the writ petition for the reason that the petitioners have primarily challenged a reply to an application made by them under the Right to Information Act, 2005 and have sought for a direction upon the respondents to supply the necessary information. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that besides the said prayer, the petitioners have also made a prayer for treating the writ petition as a representation and a direction upon the concerned authority to deal with the same.

At this juncture, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he has instruction to withdraw the writ petition and approach the appropriate forum for redressal.

In view of the same, the writ petition being WPO 1836 of 2022 is dismissed for non-prosecution.

The petitioners are at liberty to approach the appropriate forum for redressal of their grievance.
