...For the Petitioner The Court : This is an application for accepting the inventory and accounts of the property and credits of Smt. Bandana Sarkar, deceased after condoning the delay in filing the same.

According to the applicant, there has been a delay of about 604 days in filing the inventory which should have been filed on 27th July, 2019 and delay of about 789 days in filing the accounts which have been filed on 27th January, 2020.

Considering the insufficiency of the ground shown for condoning the delay, including that the requisite steps could not be taken due to the pandemic distracting the normal functioning of the Court. The prayer can only be allowed upon imposing costs on the applicant.

Costs of Rs.10,000/- is to be paid by the applicant to Bharat Sevasram Sangha, Kolkata within a week after Court opens in November 2021.
