The petitioner has filed present application being GA/2/2025 praying for amendment in the affidavit of assets.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that initially the petitioner has prayed for amendment in the application filed for grant of letters of administration and the same was allowed by an order dated 1st May, 2024. Subsequently, by an order dated 2nd August, 2024 this Court has granted letters of administration. After the grant of letters of administration when the department has processed for issuance of letters of administration, it was found that the petitioner inadvertently has not amended the affidavit of assets. Accordingly, the petitioner has filed the present application. Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner. Perused the materials on record and the application.

This Court finds that the amendment as sought for by the petitioner is formal in nature and will not change the nature and character of the application.

Accordingly, prayers (a), (b) and (c) of the Master's Summons are allowed.

After the amendment is carried out, the department is directed to take appropriate steps in terms of the order dated 2nd August, 2024. GA/2/2025 is disposed of.
