The Court: Heard learned counsel for the parties. The mandate of the Arbitrator was once extended on consent of the parties for a period of six months, which expired on March 12, 2024.

In view of there being some delay in the auditor appointed by the learned Arbitrator declining to take up the work and further application being made before the Arbitrator on such count, the delay in completing the arbitral proceedings is understandable.

Accordingly, AP-COM/686/2024 is allowed, thereby extending the mandate of the Arbitrator for a period of one year from today. For all practical purposes, it would be deemed that this order validates the orders passed and steps taken, if any, between March 12, 2024 and this date by the Arbitrator.
