...for the KMC The Court: Possibly, a reply given by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation, in response to an application made by the petitioners under Right to Information Act, 2005, has prompted the petitioners to file this writ petition. By the said reply, the Kolkata Municipal Corporation informed the petitioners that premises no. 2, Sovabazar Lane, Ward-009 is not included in the Heritage list of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation.

The proper address of the relevant premises appears to be premises no. 2, Sovabazar Street, Kolkata, which has been declared as a Heritage Building with "pending" status.

In that view of the matter, I have no reason to entertain this writ petition and pass order as prayed for in this writ petition. The petitioners will be at liberty to challenge the Heritage status of the building, if they are entitled to do so, in accordance with law. Accordingly, WPO/658/2024 is dismissed.
