The Court: This is an application for extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitrator. The parties jointly submit that the mandate may be extended by a reasonable period to enable the learned Arbitrator to make and publish the award. The arbitral proceeding is at the stage of evidence. The mandate expired on May 20, 2025. Considering the advanced stage, this Court is of the view that ends of justice demand that, the mandate of the learned Arbitrator must be extended. Hence, the mandate is extended by a further period of one year from the date of communication of this order, within which time the learned Arbitrator shall make and publish the award.
