WPO 444 of 2018

IN THE HIGH COURT AT CALCUTTA

Constitutional Writ Jurisdiction ORIGINAL SIDE PRONOTI GOSWAMI VS THE STATE OF WEST BENGAL & ORS.

BEFORE:

The Hon'ble JUSTICE SABYASACHI BHATTACHARYYA Date : 8th January, 2021.

Appearance:

Mr. Ayan Kumar Boral, Adv.

...for the petitioner.

Mr. Sudipto Panda, Adv.

...for the respondent.

The Court : The innocuous prayer of the petitioner is that the respondent authorities have not disbursed the professional fees of the petitioner, who acted in the capacity of lawyer for the respondents. Learned Counsel for the respondents, in his usual fairness, submits that although fees have been cleared up to the year 2019, subsequent fees could not be disbursed since the petitioner did not furnish copy of the relevant orders passed in the matters in which she appeared.

Accordingly, WPO no. 444 of 2018 is disposed of by directing the petitioner to furnish the server copy of the relevant orders in the matters in which the petitioner appeared for the respondents. Upon such orders being furnished, the respondent authorities shall disburse the professional and miscellaneous fees due to the petitioner, if there be any, in that regard at the earliest, positively within one month from the deposit of the order copies.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent certified website copies of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities. (SABYASACHI BHATTACHARYYA, J.) SK.
