The Court: Heard counsel appearing on behalf of the parties. This is an application under Section 29 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 for extension of time for conclusion of the arbitration proceedings. It is to be noted that by an earlier order a Coordinate Bench had granted an extension on 10th November, 2021.

Considering the pandemic situation that was present during a few months subsequent to the date of passing of the earlier order, I am of the view that since both parties have consented to an extension, the said extension should be granted.

In light of the same, the time to conclude the arbitration proceedings is extended by a further period of six months only. It is made clear that no further

extension will be granted for extending the mandate of the Arbitrator and the Arbitrator must conclude the proceedings within the extended time period. In view of the above, AP 309 of 2022 stands disposed of. (SHEKHAR B. SARAF, J.) sp/
