...for KMC The Court: The petitioner alleges that the relevant assessment record for premises located at 8/1, Sheriff Lane, Ward No. 62, P.S. Park Street, Kolkata - 16, has been mutated in the name of one Gholam Shah Warsi. The petitioner asserts ownership of the aforementioned premises and has requested the Corporation to delete the name of Gholam Shah Warsi and substitute it with his own in the assessment record. The learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that a representation was made to the Corporation on April 24, 2024, requesting

the said modification. However, the Corporation has yet to consider this representation.

After due consideration, I find no reason to keep this writ petition pending. Therefore, I dispose of this writ petition with the following direction upon respondent no. 4 to consider the representation dated April 24, 2024 (as referenced at page 65 of the writ petition), in accordance with applicable law, and after providing an opportunity for hearing to all concerned parties. The exercise shall be completed within three months from the date of this order.

Accordingly, WPO/855/2024 is disposed of.
