The Court: The order dated 24th November, 2023 directed the Officer-inCharge of the Bidhannagar East Police Station to ensure that verification of the petitioner's credentials is complete within the returnable date that is today. Learned counsel appearing for the State hands up a letter dated 1st December, 2023 issued by the Senior Superintendent of Regional Passport Office, Kolkata which states that the police authorities have submitted a report of 30th November, 2023 and that the passport will shortly be despatched to the present address of the petitioner. Counsel further submits that the verification has been done in compliance of the order dated 24th November, 2023. The letter is kept on record.
