...for the State respondent nos. 8 and 9 The Court: The petitioners assert that petitioner no. 2 operates a shop at 154, Rabindra Sarani, Jorasanko, Kolkata-700007, under the name and style of M/s. Darshana. Petitioner no. 1 is the owner of the aforementioned shop.

The petitioner's grievance is that the Kolkata Municipal Corporation has permitted certain individuals to vend their products in front of the petitioner's shop.

The Corporation, however, is unable to confirm whether the particular road in question has been designated as a vending zone. It appears that the petitioners have submitted multiple representations to the respondents, including respondent no. 7, seeking redressal of their grievances. These representations, however, remain unresolved. There is no justification for keeping this writ petition pending. Accordingly, I dispose of this writ petition with a direction to respondent no. 7 to consider the representation of the petitioners, as appearing at page 34 of this writ petition, in accordance with the law, within two months from the date of this order. Respondent no. 7 shall provide an opportunity for a hearing to all concerned parties and pass a reasoned order. WPO/884/2024 is disposed of.
