The Court : This is a post award application under Section 9 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The petitioner is represented. None appears on behalf of the respondent nor is any accommodation prayed for on their behalf.

The affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner be kept with the records.

By a final award dated 14th September, 2021 the Arbitrator had directed the respondent to make payment for a sum aggregating to Rs.21 Lakhs to the petitioner. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner during the pendency of this application the time to file the application under Section 34 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 has also expired. There is no challenge to the said award and the award has ripened for execution.

In view of the aforesaid, the order dated 14th December, 2021 and 10th January, 2022 are confirmed. Liberty is granted to the petitioner to take appropriate steps for execution of the award if so advised, in accordance with law.

AP/519/2021 stands disposed of accordingly.
