Re: IA No. GA/1/2024 with WPO No. 901 of 2024: The Court: Mr. Chatterjee, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, submits that on 3rd October, 2024 His Lordship Hon'ble Justice Raja Basu Chowdhury has passed an order with a direction that - "Mr. Chatterjee, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner, at this stage would seek liberty to file a response to the show cause subject to the respondents' offering inspection and make over copies of the relied upon documents. Having regard thereto, I direct the petitioner to approach the

Assistant Director, DRI, Delhi Zonal Unit on the first working day of the third week of October, 2024. In the event the petitioner approaches the Assistant Director, DRI, Delhi Zonal Unit, the Assistant Director, DRI, Delhi Zonal Unit shall offer inspection of the relied upon documents and make over copies, if sought for by the petitioner, within three working days therefrom. The petitioner shall be at liberty to respond to the show cause notice within 4th November, 2024. Decision, if any taken by the respondents in the meantime, shall abide by the result of the writ petition. Let the writ petition being WPO/2175/2022 appear along with this matter on 21st November, 2024. Let the aforesaid order be communicated by the petitioner to all the respondents in WPO/2175/2022. All parties, including the Assistant Director, DRI, Delhi Zonal Unit, New Delhi shall act on the basis of server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court."

A copy of the voluminous relied-upon documents were handed over to the petitioner and the learned counsel prays for extension of time to file reply after going through these voluminous relied-upon documents of 14800 pages. Mr. Tapan Bhanja, learned counsel appearing for DRI, is presented. The time to file reply after going through the voluminous relied-upon documents is extended for a further period of two months, thereafter the adjudication proceedings will be initiated by the concerned officer. The application being IA No. GA/1/2024 along with WPO/901/2024 is disposed of.

Re: WPO/2175/2022 WPO No. 2175 of 2022 shall appear in the monthly list of January, 2025 under the heading "For Hearing".
