. . .for the respondent no.4 The Court: This is an application under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The mandate expired on 17th May, 2024. The petitioner requested the learned Arbitrator for a meeting with an intention that the parties may consent to extend the period. The respondent did not respond. Out of abundant caution, this application was filed. Learned advocate for the respondent submits that the respondents did not refuse to extend the time. In any event, if the respondents are also willing to extend the period, the Court does not see any reason as to why the extension cannot be granted on the basis of this application.

The application is disposed of by extending the mandate of the Arbitrator by a further period of one year from the date of communication of this order to the learned Arbitrator. The learned Arbitrator shall make and publish the award within the extended period.

As no affidavits have been called for, allegations against the respondents are deemed to be denied.
