...For the Respondent The Court: The parties before the Court have come for an extension of the arbitrator's mandate under Section 29-A(4) of the Act before the mandate comes to an end.

By an order dated 2nd January, 2023, learned single Judge of this Court extended the mandate under Section 29-A(3) for the period of six months. Hence, the mandate will come to an end on 2nd August, 2023. Learned Counsel appearing for the parties submits that parties have concluded their arguments and that the next sitting has been fixed on 28th July, 2023 for clarification of certain points.

AP/434/2023 is allowed and disposed of by extending the mandate of the arbitrator for two months from 2nd August, 2023. Parties are expected to clarify their doubts and queries in a manner which would enable the learned Arbitrator to make the award within the extended period of time.
