The Court: After hearing learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the respondents, this Court is of the view that each of the Arbitrators in the three-member Tribunal should be paid Rs.70,000/- per sitting which is to be divided by the parties in the manner agreed upon by way of an order passed in the arbitration proceeding. This figure has been arrived at after considering the submissions made on behalf of the respondents.

This Court is of the view that the amount which was suggested is too nominal. Hence the order fixing the remuneration as stated above. The Arbitrators of the reconstituted Tribunal shall be Mr. Samaresh Prasad Chowdhury, Former District Judge and Mr. Suranjan Kundu, former District Judge. The presiding Arbitrator shall be Rabindranath Samanta, former Judge of this Court.
