...for the applicant The Court: By this application, the applicant for grant of probate seeks a direction upon the Testamentary Department to allow the applicant to sign on requisite papers in the name of the applicant as appearing in the Voter Identity Card. Learned advocate appearing for the applicant submits that, there is a difference in the spelling of the title of the applicant in the Voter Identity Card and that of the Aadhar Card. He submits that, the correct spelling of the name of the applicant including her title is appearing in the Voter Identity Card and she may be allowed to execute and sign the pleadings, affidavits and the requisite documents on the basis of the name as appearing in her Voter Identity Card.

There is a apparent difference in the spelling of the title of the applicant in the Voter Identity Card as well as in the Aadhar Card. Since applicant states that she is known by the name as appearing in her Voter Identity Card, I find no reason as to why the request of the applicant as made herein cannot be granted.

In such circumstances, there will be an order in terms of prayer (a) of the Master's Summons dated January 29, 2021.

The department will process the application for grant of probate filed by the applicant in accordance with law.
