This writ petition has been filed seeking expeditious disposal by an appeal filed before the CIT (Appeals) against an assessment order dated April 19, 2021 passed in respect of the assessment year 2018-19 which has been pending before the appellate authority since May 13, 2021. Since it is evident that the appeal has been pending before the CIT (Appeals) for more than four years now, the CIT (Appeals) is hereby requested to dispose of the petitioner's appeal as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.
