The Court: 1. Affidavits-of-service filed in Court are kept on record.

2. The Transport Secretary and the Principal Secretary, Finance Department and the MD of the WBTC are virtually present in Court. The Chairman of the WBTC could not present due to his hospitalisation.

It is informed by Mr. Roy and confirmed by the Transport Secretary that Finance Department has released the funds to the Transport Ministry. The Transport Department shall make over the same to the WBTC forthwith. Payment shall be made to the petitioners within a period of thirty days in terms of the orders already passed earlier in these proceedings.

Mr. Roy informs that appeals have been filed against the order of this Court dated December 21, 2023 as also the order of a co-ordinate Bench. 5.

The payments made to the petitioners shall abide by the result of the said appeals preferred by the State.

The personal presence of the Transport Secretary, the Finance Secretary as also the Managing Director of the WBTC is dispensed with. 7.

With the aforesaid directions WPO/2261/2022, WPO/2262/2022 and WPO/2287/2022 are disposed of.
