The Court:- Affidavit of service is taken on record. The present application has been filed by the petitioner under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking extension of time for conclusion of the arbitral proceedings and publication of the arbitral award. This Court, vide order dated 11.10.2023, appointed an arbitral tribunal to adjudicate disputes between the parties. The pleadings were completed on 19.03.2024. With the consent of the parties, the mandate of the arbitral tribunal was extended till 18.09.2025.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that there have been more than 17 sittings have been conducted by the arbitral tribunal. She further contended that presently, the proceedings are at the stage of evidence of the claimant's witness.

Learned counsel for the respondent states that he has no objection to the extension of the mandate of the arbitral tribunal. Upon consideration of the submissions and the materials placed on record, this Court is satisfied that there has been no undue or unwarranted delay on the part of the arbitral tribunal in conducting the arbitration proceedings. Accordingly, the mandate of the arbitral tribunal is hereby extended by a further period of six months from today. The arbitral tribunal is requested to ensure that the arbitral proceedings are concluded and that the award is published within the extended time period.
