The Court :- This is an application for extension of time to file the inventory and the accounts in connection with a probate granted on 17th May, 2024. The grant of which was issued on 20th November, 2024. It is submitted that six months period from the date of issuance of the grant had expired on or about 20th May, 2025, but the inventory could not be made ready and filed. So far as the accounts are concerned, the time period is one year and as such considering the time to run from 20th November, 2024 one year period has yet not lapsed. The grounds shown in support of the delay in filing the inventory are satisfactory. Since the petitioner volunteers to file the inventory and the accounts, the time to file inventory is peremptorily extended till 22nd August, 2025.

The Department shall accept the inventory if the same is proper form and order.

The petitioner is given time up to 19th November, 2025 to file his accounts. The accounts if are in proper form and order shall be accepted by the department if the same is placed before it for the purpose of filing either on 19th November, 2025 or on any date prior thereto. The application, IA No. GA/1/2025 in PLA No. 267 of 2023 stands disposed of.
