The Court: This is an application under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The petitioner prays for extension of time to enable the learned arbitrator to make and publish the award. The mandate of the arbitrator ended on September 12, 2024. The witness action is going on.

Considering the submissions of the parties, pleadings and the fact that substantial progress has been made in the arbitral reference, this Court is of the view that justice would be subserved if the time period is extended by a further period of 18 months from the date of

communication of this order to the learned arbitrator. Learned arbitrator shall make and publish the award within the aforementioned period. Accordingly, AP-COM/875/2024 is disposed of.
