For the respondent no. 1 The Court:- Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was supplying Areca Nuts under cover of Tax Invoice No. JE/2324/324, e-way bill no. 841399198448, with the motor vehicle being no. WB 19J 8614. The Customs Officers of Preventive and Intelligence Branch has intercepted the said loaded vehicle and seized the goods and vehicle. Thereafter, a show-cause notice was issued on 27th September, 2024 by the concerned Customs Authority. A reply to the same was filed by the petitioner on 8th of January, 2025. But till date, no adjudication order was passed by the respondent Authority.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondent Authority submits that the adjudication order will be passed at the earliest. Heard learned Counsels for the parties. As the show-cause notice was issued on 27th of September, 2024 and the reply was filed on 8th January, 2025, the concerned Adjudication Authority is requested to complete the adjudication within 30 days from date, pass necessary order and communicate the same to the petitioner.

It is needless to mention that before passing the order of adjudication, the concerned Adjudication Authority will give an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
