The Court : This is an application under Section 29A (4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The petitioner prays for an extension of time to enable the learned Arbitrator to make and publish the award. It is submitted that the mandate of the learned Arbitrator ended or got terminated on September 30, 2024. The claimant was in the process of advancing the arguments when the mandate expired.

Considering the substantial progress made in the arbitration proceeding, this Court deems it fit to extend the period to enable the learned Arbitrator to

make and publish the award by a period of six months from the date of communication of this order upon the learned Arbitrator. The application is disposed of.
