The Court:- The present application has been filed by the petitioners under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking extension of time for conclusion of the arbitral proceeding and publication of the award. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the sole arbitrator was appointed vide order dated 19.12.2023 by this Court. The mandate of the arbitral tribunal was mutually extended by the parties till 10.11.2025. The counsel for the party submits that the matter is at the final argument stage.

In view thereof the petitioner is seeking extension of the timeline of the arbitral tribunal by six months.

Learned counsel for the respondent states that he has no objection to the said extension.

Upon consideration this Court is satisfied that there has been no undue or unwarranted delay on part of the sole arbitrator in conduction the proceedings.

Accordingly, mandate of the sole arbitrator is extended for a further period of six months from date. Learned sole arbitrator is requested to ensure that the arbitral proceedings are concluded and the award is published within extended time period with the above observation. Present application is disposed of.
