The Court:-The petitioner is aggrieved by the action on the part of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation in enhancing the annual valuation of the subject property without giving any prior notice or opportunity of hearing. An objection was raised on behalf of the petitioner in June, 2023 and the same is alleged to be kept pending.

Without entering into the merit of the allegations raised by the petitioner, as it appears that a representation is pending consideration at the end of the Assessor-Collector (North), accordingly, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Assessor-Collector (North), Kolkata Municipal Corporation to take into consideration the objection filed on behalf of the petitioner on 06.06.2023 in accordance with law, after giving reasonable opportunity of hearing and pass a reasoned order and communicate the same to the petitioner.

The aforesaid exercise shall be concluded at the earliest, but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the representation dated 06.06.2023 along with all other supporting documents to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communicating the order of the Court.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
