The Court : This is an application for extension of time to file the inventory as also the accounts by the executor who was granted the probate by an order dated 26th April, 2024. The probate was issued on 29th August, 2024. The time to file inventory under the grant was six months from the date of issuance of the grant while that for filing the accounts was one year from such date of issuance.

Although the grounds cited by the executor for not being able to file the inventory and accounts are not convincing, yet for the ends of justice, the time is extended. The inventory has to be filed by 31st October, 2025 and the accounts should be filed by 14th November, 2025. The department shall accept the inventory and accounts if the same are in proper form and order and placed before it on or before the expiry of the extended period of time.

Nothing further remains to be adjudicated in this application. The application is, accordingly, disposed of. (ARINDAM MUKHERJEE, J.) pa
