The Court:-The petitioner's application made in Form A-42 for apportionment of the said property is pending consideration for more than a year. The application was filed by the petitioner along with forwarding letter dated 19th July, 2022.

The Corporation did not take any steps for disposal of the same. Without going into the merit of the application made by the petitioner, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Assessor Collector, Kolkata Municipal Corporation to take steps to consider and dispose of the application made in form A-42 seeking apportionment of the property tax in accordance with law at the earliest upon giving reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the parties.

A decision shall be taken in the matter positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the parties.

Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the forwarding letter dated 19th July, 2022 along with Form A-42 to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communicating the order of the Court. Writ petition stands disposed of.
