...for the petitioner The Court: This is an application filed by the petitioner under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking extension of time period for conclusion of the arbitral proceedings and publication of the award.

It is the case of the petitioner that this Court vide order dated 18.09.2024 appointed the sole Arbitrator to adjudicate the disputes between the parties.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner states that the respondent nos. 2 and 3 had appeared before the Tribunal and informed that the company has gone into insolvency. None appeared on behalf of the respondent No. 1

before the arbitral tribunal. The mandate of the arbitral tribunal expired on 12.11.2025.

It is stated by the learned Counsel for the petitioner that the matter is presently at the stage of final argument and in view of the above, the petitioner prays for an extension of the mandate of the arbitral tribunal. Upon consideration of the submissions and the materials on record, this Court is satisfied that there has been no undue or unwarranted delay on the part of the arbitral tribunal in conducting the arbitral proceedings. Accordingly, the mandate of the arbitral tribunal is extended further for a period of six months from today.

The arbitral tribunal is requested to make all endeavour to conclude the arbitral proceedings and publish the award within the extended time period.

With the aforesaid observations, the present arbitration petition is disposed of.
