The Court:- This is an application under section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The petitioner prays for extension of mandate of the learned arbitrator on account of termination of mandate. Mandate of the learned arbitrator is expiring on November 18, 2024. The witness action is going on. Considering the advance stage of the proceeding, this court is of the view that the mandate of the learned arbitrator must be extended. Accordingly, the Court extends the time by a further period of one year from the date of communication of this order to the learned arbitrator, to enable the learned arbitrator to make and publish the award.
