The Court: By the order dated 14th November, 2022, the RBI was directed to file a one-page affidavit stating the name of the body which is empowered to act as the Ombudsman in the facts of the present case. The affidavit which has been filed in Court contains a Master Direction - Non-Banking Financial Company - Housing Finance Company (Reserve Bank) Directions, 2021. Clause 78.4 of the said Directions states that in appropriate cases, the complainant may approach the Complaint Redressal Cell of National Housing Bank by lodging the complaints online on the website of National Housing Bank or through post to NHB, New Delhi.

WPO/2389/2022 is accordingly disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to approach the Authority as stated above within a fortnight from date.

Learned counsel appearing for the RBI shall indicate the designated portal or address of the NHB Authority to the petitioners as expeditiously as possible.
