...for the respondent The Court: The present application has been filed by the petitioner seeking extension of time to deposit the renewed bank guarantee with the Registrar, Original Side.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that in compliance of the order of this Court dated 08.01.2025, the petitioner had furnished the bank guarantee being No. 4044IFIBG250003 dated 04.02.2025 for a sum of Rs.22,13,61,369/- in favour of the Registrar, Original Side and deposit the same with the Office of the Learned Registrar. The petitioner was required to deposit the renewed bank guarantee on or before 04.02.2026. It is submitted that owing to inter departmental shuffling, restructuring and inadvertence, there was a delay in depositing the renewed bank guarantee.

It is further submitted that the petitioner duly renewed the bank guarantee with effect from 04.02.2026 valid up to 04.02.2027 with a claim period of 12 months. The renewed bank guarantee was received by the petitioner on 18.02.2026 and, thereafter, handed over to the learned Counsel for deposit with the Registrar, Original Side. However, on account of the delay, the same was not accepted by the Office of the Registrar, Original Side. In these circumstances, the petitioner has filed the present application seeking permission to deposit the renewed bank guarantee. Having considered the reasons stated in the application, this Court finds the explanation to be satisfactory. Accordingly, the delay in depositing the bank guarantee is condoned and the time for deposit is extended further for a period of two weeks from today.

The Registrar, Original Side is directed to accept the renewed bank guarantee, if tendered within the aforesaid period. With the aforesaid direction, the present application stands disposed of.
