The Court:- The present application has been filed by the petitioner under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking extension of the mandate of the arbitral tribunal for conclusion of the arbitral proceedings and publication of the arbitral award.

The parties, by mutual consent, appointed an arbitral tribunal on 08.08.2022. With the consent of the parties, the mandate of the tribunal was extended till 08.08.2024. The mandate was further extended by this Court vide orders dated 14th August 2024 and 27th February 2025, by six months and eight months respectively. The mandate has now expired on 3rd November 2025.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the proceedings are presently at the final stage of publication of the arbitral award.

Upon consideration of the entire record, this Court is satisfied that there has been no undue or unwarranted delay on the part of the arbitrator in conducting the proceedings. Having regard to the evidence stage of the proceedings and in the interest of justice, the mandate of the arbitral tribunal is extended further for a period of three months from today. The arbitral tribunal is requested to make all reasonable endeavours to publish the award within the extended time period.
