...for the respondent The Court: The matter has been mentioned before this Court for extension of time to enable the award-debtor, that is, the Steel Authority of India Limited to secure Rs.15 crores by way of a bank guarantee in favour of the Registrar, Original Side to his satisfaction. The matter was mentioned before this Court upon notice. The time prescribed by this Court, that is, January 14, 2025 had expired and the bank guarantee could not be furnished by that time. The document reveals that in compliance of the order of this Court the bank guarantee was prepared on January 13, 2025 but by the time, the learned

advocate received the same, the date fixed by this Court that is January 14, 2025 had expired. Immediately, the matter was mentioned. I do not find any reason not to extend the time to enable the award-debtor to furnish the bank guarantee dated January 13, 2025 in favour of the Registrar, Original Side by a period of one week from date.

It is made clear that such bank guarantee shall be furnished within 27th January, 2025.
