...for the Respondent The Court: This is an application under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. This is the fourth prayer for extension of the mandate of the learned arbitrator. It is submitted that the mandate of the arbitrator expired in November, 2024. The records reveal that the arbitrator was appointed by this Court and thereafter three extensions were granted. The petitioner submits that the matter is at the stage of final arguments. If the mandate is not extended, the petitioner/claimant will suffer irreparable loss and injury.

Considering the advanced stage of the proceeding, this Court deems it fit to extend the mandate by a further period of six months from the date of communication of this order to enable the learned arbitrator to make and publish his award within the extended period. The application is accordingly disposed of.
