The petitioner is the second wife of Late Dugai Sahis, an employee of ECL.

He died in harness on 8th December, 2015. The petitioner applied for compassionate employment for her son. On 2017 the said application came to be processed by the respondents and repeated requests were made to the petitioner's son Sadhan Sahis to submit documents from 2017 to 12th August 2022. On 14th November, 2022 the respondents closed the case of the petitioner's son for compassionate employment, since no document or response was received.

In the above circumstances, this Court directs E.C.L. to pay monthly monetary compensation to the petitioner from January

2022 till date at the applicable rates from time to time within a period of two months from date. The said arrear shall carry interest @6% per annum.

The current MMC shall be payable by 7th March, 2024. 5.

The petition is disposed of.
