The Court: Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record. The present application has been filed by the petitioners under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the arbitral tribunal for conclusion of the arbitral proceedings and publication of the arbitral award. By mutual consent of the parties, the Learned Arbitrator, Mr. Priyankar Saha, Advocate, was appointed as the sole arbitrator to adjudicate the disputes between the parties. The pleadings were duly completed on 19.06.2024. Thereafter, by mutual consent, the parties extended the

mandate of the arbitral tribunal by a period of six months. The said extended time period expired on 17th December, 2025. In view thereof, the petitioners have prayed for extension of the mandate of the arbitral tribunal for a further period of one year. Learned Counsel for the Petitioner further submits that the Claimant evidence is already concluded and Respondent's evidence is about to commence.

Learned counsel for the respondent nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4 states that they have no objection in extending the mandate of the arbitral tribunal. Upon consideration of the submissions of the parties and the materials placed on record, this Court is satisfied that there has been no undue or unwarranted delay on the part of the learned sole arbitrator in conducting the arbitral proceedings. Accordingly, the mandate of the arbitral tribunal is hereby extended for a further period of twelve months from today. The Arbitral Tribunal is requested to make all endeavours to conclude the arbitral proceedings and publish the award within the extended time period.

With the aforesaid observations, the present application stands disposed of.
