1. The only grievance of the petitioner is that the proceeding is pending before the DRT since the year 2020. The appellate tribunal by an order dated 17th August, 2023 has also directed the DRT to conclude the proceeding and decide the same within a period of three months from the date of the copy of the receipt of the order but in spite of the said order passed by the appellate authority, the DRT had not dispose of the original application no.137 of 2001.

2. Considering the above, this Court find that the only grievance of the petitioner is for the last 25 years the matter is pending before the DRT and in spite of the order passed by appellate authority also the DRT had not dispose of the original application.

3. Accordingly, DRT-I, Kolkata Bench is directed to dispose of OA/137/2001 along with all connected application if any within a period of six months from the date of receipt of this order without giving any unnecessary adjournment to any of the parties.

4. WPO/914/2025 is disposed of.
