...for KMC The Court: It is the grievance of the petitioner that the Corporation is going to demolish the building at premises no. B/54B/H/1, Mofidul Islam Lane, Kolkata-700014, Ward No. 54, without giving any notice of opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

The Corporation files a report.

The report suggests that the petitioner obtained a building plan for a G+2 storied building but they are making construction beyond the sanctioned plan.

The Corporation further submits that a demolition process has already been initiated under Section 400 of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation Act, 1980.

In that view of the matter, no further order needs to be passed in this writ petition.

The Corporation shall complete the demolition process in accordance with law.

WPO/1212/2024 is disposed of.
