.....for the respondent The Court: This is an application for extension of the Arbitrator's mandate under Section 29-A of the 1996 Act.

Parties agree that the extension of six months under Section 29-A(3) was recorded by the learned Arbitrator in the Minutes dated 11th July, 2023. The recording, however, appears to be incorrect since six months from 30th April, 2023 would end on 29th October, 2023. The Arbitrator has recorded 1st October, 2023.

The application was filed during subsistence of the mandate and the Court is informed that arbitration is presently at the stage of arguments. AP/715/2023 is, accordingly, allowed and disposed of by extending the mandate for four months from 29th October, 2023. (MOUSHUMI BHATTACHARYA, J.) kc
