THE COURT: The petitioner claims that a wall lawfully constructed by him on his premises has been broken down by the miscreants. He has applied for police protection to enable him to construct the wall. The police have made enquiries but have not been able to trace out anybody. The Municipal Corporation is of the view that no permission is required to raise the boundary wall in question.

In those circumstances, since the petitioner apprehends further obstruction and/or damage to any wall he may construct, the Amherst Street Police Station is directed to provide necessary protection to the petitioner during the course of construction of the wall for a period of seven days. The costs of deployment of two police constables shall communicated to the petitioner and the police personnel shall be deployed upon the petitioner paying such costs. With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. (RAJASEKHAR MANTHA, J) tk
