...for the respondents The Court: This is a second application for seeking extension of the Arbitrator's mandate. The first was granted by this Court on 19th July, 2023 extending the mandate for three months from 19th July, 2023. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, however, says that despite the extension granted, the petitioner will take one more day to conclude its argument and the respondents will thereafter commence their arguments. The advocate-on-record of the respondents seeks a longer

extension on the ground that the advocate-on-record is a new entrant in the matter.

This Court is not inclined to grant a long extension since three months were already granted to the learned Arbitrator which expires on 18th October, 2023 and the reference commenced from 2019. AP/732/2023 is, accordingly, disposed of by extending the mandate till 22nd December, 2023.
