...for Customs Authority The Court: Heard learned advocates appearing for the parties. It appears from record annexed to the writ petition particularly being annexure P-9 at page 67 of the writ petition that for the relief asked for in this writ petition petitioner has already made a representation before the respondent Customs Authority concerned on 14th November, 2023 making prayer for unconditional release of four gold bars and the vehicles in question.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and submission of the parties, particularly submission of Mr. Maiti that respondent should be given time to consider the aforesaid representation, this writ petition being WPO 1828 of 2021 is disposed of by directing the Commissioner of Customs (Preventive), Kolkata, West Bengal to consider and dispose of the

aforesaid representation dated 14th November, 2023 in accordance with law and by passing a reasoned and speaking order after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner or its authorised representative, within a period of seven days from date.

It is needless to mention that petitioner shall be entitled to take all the points raised in this writ petition before the authority concerned at the time of hearing by the respondent Authority concerned for consideration of the aforesaid representation.

With this observation and direction, this writ petition being WPO/1828/2023 stands disposed of.
